Hotel Olympia is located in the south-west of the island, close to many of the most famous beaches of the island, including Galissas, Agathopes, Vari and Kini. You can hop on a bus and be in less than 30′ to all the beaches of the island.
Grammata, the Old Cave, Lia, Marmara, Megas Lakkos, Aetos, Avlaki, Varvarousa, and more beaches are located in the Northen West of the Island. Most of them are isolated virgin beaches and you can visit them on foot or by boat (departing from Finikas and Kini).
Dolphin Beach is mostly known for its nudist area. Recently, there are built facilities like sunbeds and umbrellas, beach bars and road to the beach. It is well known for the picturesque scenery.

The busiest beach of Syros is this of Agathopes located approximately 14 km from Ermoupoli but very close (1 km) in Posidonia and the Phoenix. Organized beach with golden sands and shallow waters, Agathopes stand out for the narrow strip of land that enters in the sea and for the lilies that bloom along the period of summer. Opposite Agathopes is both islet Strogulo and uninhabited Schinonissi while in the edge of the bay located cape Viglostasi dominated by the lighthouse. If, indeed, find Agathopes in spring and you’re lucky it’s not impossible to come in contact with Monachus-Monachus that select the welcoming sandy beach to lay. At Agathopes, the visitor will find all those infrastructures (cafes, restaurants, shops) that will allow him to spend all day in the area and to combine the dip in the sea with a beautiful meal. The access in Agathopes is done either by taxi or private vehicle or the bus for Posidonia and Phoenix that stop relatively close to the beach.
Komito is the beach located at the southwest point of Syros located about 15 km from Ermoupoli and 1 km from Posidonia. The beach of Komito is quieter compared to Agathopes but has equally good sand with armirikia and a few umbrellas for shade. Many choose Komito for the beach bar located on the beach and offers coffee with good music. The closest options foe food is either Posidonia or Megas Gialos. To reach to Komito should arrive first in Posidonia and from there follow the signs, while there is a path that connects it with Agathopes. Opposite of Komito, a little north is Schinonissi while from the beach you can watch the uninhabited islet Stroggulo. Its profile refers to shark’s fin while it is going for the second islet of the same name in Syros – The other is opposite the port of Ermoupoli.
